The scale of your artwork shouldn’t be limited by kiln size. Making modular sculpture is an accessible and sustainable approach for working in large-scale. In this course we will learn methods of building large-scale ceramic sculpture including historic and contemporary techniques, and the concept and politics of parts and seams.
Over the course of 5 class meetings you will build a tall sculpture in at least 2 parts.
No prior ceramics experience is required. Submissions reviewed until filled. All are encouraged to apply.
All recommended social distance protocols will be followed; we will stay 6 feet apart, wear masks and sanitize frequently.
