Build Big SCULPT April 2023

The scale of your artwork shouldn’t be limited by kiln size. Making modular sculpture is an accessible and sustainable approach for working in large-scale. In this course we will learn methods of building large-scale ceramic sculpture including historic and contemporary techniques, and the concept and politics of parts and seams.

Over the course of 5 class meetings you will build a tall sculpture in at least 2 parts.

Meeting the following Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-9pm: March 8, March 13, March 15, March 20, March 22.

Tuition is $1200 which includes clay and 1 firing. This will be covered by Bzippy through the SCULPT scholarship.
