Scholarship & Tuition Information
Mission Statement:
The Infinite School (TIS) seeks to create a space outside of academia for communal ceramic education, fostering an independent, supportive, and alternative system of learning. The curriculum finds a balance between technique and experimentation, focusing on processes that are typically reserved for academic settings, for example working at a large scale and mixing glazes, bypassing any reliance on these spaces and their traditional gatekeepers.
The Infinite School aims to demystify the ceramic process, and remove fear associated with art education. In the setting of small classes, the school encourages learning through questioning and breaking rules associated with mastery of material. TIS strives to build new, emergent histories by challenging the hierarchies of the colonial, Western canon in ceramic practices and by providing a space for students to develop their own method of communicating through form.
