Course Description
Taught by Julia Haft-Candell
Parking: 3033 Dolores St, Los Angeles, CA 90065

The scale of your artwork shouldn’t be limited by kiln size. Making modular sculpture is an accessible and sustainable approach for working in large-scale. In this course you will learn methods of building large-scale ceramic sculpture including historic and contemporary techniques, as well as conceptual and political implications of building in parts.

Over the course of 5 class meetings you will build a tall sculpture in at least 2 parts. No prior ceramics experience is required. All are encouraged to apply.

Enrollment is limited to 6 students per session. Tuition includes materials, one firing, and optional open studio hours. In addition, you will also become part of an active alumni network
For our cancellation policy or further questions, see our FAQ page.
